I am an advocate of de-pathologizing neurodiversity/disability. I therefore, prefer identity first language when I speak about myself and therefore default to that format of language.

I don’t have ASD, I am Autistic.

I don’t have ADHD, I have VAST (****???LINK???***).

If you prefer, however, to be referred to using person first language I am happy to honour your preferred label. Just ask!…but also be patient if I fumble, and definitely correct me!

Regarding appointment logistics: I make exceptions to some of my rules for disabled folx/ folx with disabilities. I generally don’t do outcalls to homes, BUT for those with physical limitations that can’t be accommodated at my incall (eg. wide doors to accommodate a wheelchair, etc), I am happy to accomodate. Note that additional screening will be required for my safety.

I am happy to work with caregivers who are booking services on behalf of a disabled person with barriers to communication.

I offer a sliding scale for people with disabilities/disabled folk. Ask me how!
